Get the Best TEFL TESOL Course and Volunteer in Rainforests, National Parks, Protected Areas and More

Many people want to give something back.  Volunteering, to many, is an enriching and even life-changing experience.  So TEFL International now offers students at our Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica location opportunities to volunteer in rain forests, wildlife refuges, and national parks.

Here’s how you benefit:

· Teach English and volunteer in beautiful Costa Rica

· Contribute to the protection of flora and fauna in biospheres, national parks, etc.;

· Gain a greater understanding of environmental issues in mangroves, rain forests, coral reefs, and endangered flora and fauna;

· Increase your appreciation of the culture and peoples of Costa Rica;

· Improve your Spanish;

· Maintaining trails

· Cleaning the infrastructure and the beach.

· Patrolling the beach

Specific projects include:

· Reforestation

Investigative projects include:

1. Contamination.

2. Bird monitoring in the park.

3. Monitoring and inventorying resident and migratory birds.

4. English classes for students of rural schools, surrounding protected wildlife areas

Notes:

· You will be housed in the National Parks (minimum time of 15 days for the activities, and between 22 days and one month for Specific Projects).

· You will be given work assignments and instructions and be supervised by a responsible park staff individual

· You can request to work on a specific project or wildlife area.

· What's required of you:

· Letter of recommendation

· Photocopy of passport
